Rosie Barker is a textile artist and multi-hyphenate creative focused on sustainable fashion. She sources the majority of the fabric used for her art and workshops from the goodwill bins and is eager to share the possibilities of what can be made shopping secondhand. Endless possibilities for old blankets, sheets, towels and more.

Description:
Join us for a fun and creative event! In this hand sewing workshop, you'll learn how to transform old fleece blankets into little pouches, totes, and more! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced sewer, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to repurpose materials and reduce waste.

You will learn various hand sewing techniques but the focus will be on using a blanket stitch, for adding a unique detail and pop of color to your project. There will also be an option to add buttons and/or embellishments.

What to bring:

We will provide all materials but you are also welcome to bring your own fleece blanket for repurposing and/or any sort of beads, buttons and embellishments.
