Textiles are everywhere—in our clothes, furniture, toys, and even tech.

In this hands-on, gamified 3-hour workshop, you’ll use a collaborative card-mapping method to reconstruct the textile lifecycle, uncover its social and environmental impacts, and brainstorm concrete actions. This session blends team play, systems thinking, and real-world case studies to turn insight into action.

What you'll do

  • A collaborative, mixer-style learning experience (move, meet, and map together).

  • Get a clear systems overview of the textile industry.

  • Practice circular design strategies for products, services, and operations.

  • Use simple decision aids to navigate trade-offs.

You’ll leave with

  • A bird’s-eye view of impacts across the textile system.

  • Action Sprints” outcomes: tangible actions you can carry into your work, your projects, and your organization.

  • One clear commitment (your circular challenge) to implement post-session.

  • New connections—plus snacks & drinks.

  • Certificate of Completion.

Who it’s for

Community members, students, designers, product and brand teams, educators, and entrepreneurs—anyone curious about making textiles more sustainable.
