Other Lives Studio is a concept hatched by friends and co-creators Betsy Flores and Kim Krempien. Having worked in fashion for over a decade, they grew frustrated with the quickening pace of the fashion cycle & the toll their beloved industry was taking on the environment. The two resolved to use their industry design experience to tackle the problem and came together to inspire a new cycle for fashion.

Description: 

Create jewelry with us and learn how to DIY your own pieces through jewelry design techniques. We'll teach you mixed media jewelry design and repair basics, and help brainstorm new ideas with you. This workshop is all about creating new pieces through collaging and re-mixing jewelry, via deconstruction and reconstruction. 
We will provide tools + select charms, crystals, vintage chains, stone beads, pearl beads, jewelry wire, and metal findings. 

 

What to bring: Your imagination! And any existing metal findings, jewelry, beads, hiking clips or objects you’d like to incorporate (they can be broken pieces etc). You can incorporate with clothes you want to upcycle!
