A new way to experience the Circle without committing to a novel! Venice Book Club(VBC)'s Pop-Up Circles are one-night conversations built around a short story, essay, or similar short-sized work. Smaller than VBC's regular Circles and capped at 30 people, these evenings are designed to be intimate, experimental, and easy to jump into. No month-long commitment required. Join us for a discussion of the essay "The Dreamer's Handbook" by Stephen Kane. “The Dreamer’s Handbook” argues that instead of only fighting a system driven by ego and fear, people should build alternatives through a shared positive vision, creative and constructive protest, and culture change. Its core message is “be the change,” with worker co-ops as a sample action plan and DAOs as another model for less hierarchical governance. The appendix, which readers are invited to help expand, offers practical steps, which among other topics, we will get into. Please find the reading at RSVP link!
